Positive transformations in our surrounding areas are reinforced when we pool our efforts and work collaboratively with the groups that we interact with.

As a result, consistent with our company premise (focused on people) and the overarching purpose of contributing to prosperity in society, we promote a corporate culture that's geared towards serving stakeholders, and this enables us to build sustainable relationships with them that are based on creating shared value.

To achieve this, we have established a Management System in accordance with the AA1000 international guidelines, and these provide criteria, tools and methodologies to ensure that relationships with the various stakeholders are conducted systemically, and that they meet the aims of the corporate group and the groups in society with which we interact.

Lines of action

We implement lines of action that enable us to improve our Company's productivity and competitiveness, contribute to the creation of value for our stakeholders, and build an organization that's aimed at learning, innovation and sustainable development.

  • Commitments with our stakeholders

We establish commitments with the groups of people with whom we interact during the course of our production activities, with a view to creating opportunities for mutual benefit and sustainability in the surrounding area. These commitments are defined with them, are regularly reviewed and act as a guide for our efforts.

    Internal and external analysis

In order to establish relationships with our stakeholders, we consider the corporate strategy's impacts on relationships with these groups, as well as market signals, and the cultural and sociopolitical context of the groups in society that influence the Company's management efforts.

    Guidelines

We have established corporate criteria that guide relationships with all our stakeholders, ensuring corporate consistency. These criteria guide us so that we can have relationships that are based on ethics, trust, openness, respect and collaboration.

We have also defined specific action criteria with certain stakeholders, to better understand key aspects of the relationship according to their particular needs or to push forward crosscutting management issues that need to be incorporated into how we manage various groups:

    • Policy on relations with our stakeholders

We have a Policy on which we base our relationships with stakeholders, on a foundation of ethics, trust, respect, openness, dialogue and collaboration, prioritizing the common good over individual interests.

    • Brand and reputational strategy

We strive to create positive experiences with our stakeholders, based on ethics, respect, dialogue and participation.

We recognize that people are the focal point of our management efforts.

We manage reputation by promoting key issues that guide our management efforts and relationships with our stakeholders.

    Practices

We incorporate practices to manage relationships in accordance with each group's characteristics and needs.

Communication and dialogue are essential elements in terms of exchanging points of view and building relationships with our stakeholders.

    Evaluations

We measure our stakeholders' perceptions of the relationships, and this enables us to improve our corporate management and generate collective learning that will strengthen long-term, sustainable relationships. In addition, we evaluate our practices internally and against internationally recognized standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative and AA1000.

    Accountability

We carry out a systematic and crosscutting process to disseminate timely and comprehensive information regarding the fulfillment of commitments to stakeholders, as well as information on sustainability initiatives, main impacts, management results and challenges, relevant changes in the Company, the sector or the environment, and emerging issues. This work includes the annual preparation of the Management Report, alongside other opportunities for sharing and communication mechanisms.
