The following regulatory framework is what principally governs our Company's activities:

  • Political Constitution of Colombia.
  • Law 42 of 1993: organization of the financial and tax control system and the entities that enforce these controls.
  • Law 142 of 1994: public utilities law.
  • Law 143 of 1994: electricity law.
  • Law 286 of 1996: partially amends laws 142 and 143 of 1994.
  • Law 689 of 2001: amends law 142 of 1994 (internal control and external audits on management and results).

The following are the CREG resolutions applicable to our Company’s energy generation and marketing activities:

  • Resolution 054 of 1994: governs electricity-related activity in the national interconnected system.
  • Resolution 055 of 1994: governs electricity generation activity in the SIN.
  • Resolution 024 of 1995: governs commercial aspects of the wholesale energy market in the SIN that form part of the operational regulations.
  • Resolution 025 of 1995: establishes the grid code as part of the SIN’s operational regulations.
