  • The President’s Secretariat of Transparency included us in the Active Companies Implementing Anti-Corruption Policies initiative (EAA, for the Spanish original). This type of external activity is one of the fundamental action principles of our System of Business Ethics (SEE, for the Spanish original), since it contributes elements to identify gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement in the System.
  • The World Bank and the International Hydropower Association (IHA) featured us as a case study thanks to innovations in the implementation and operation of hydropower projects such as Miel I and Sogamoso, which are aligned with the IHA's Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Protocol.
  • Our Comprehensive Energy Management project (for industrial customers) won the Energy Efficiency Award in the category for Utilities and Information and Communication Technology Companies. Its objective is to raise awareness regarding continuous improvement in the efficient use of energy within the industry.

  • For the second year running, the 2020 Sustainable Leadership Agenda (ALAS20) highlighted the genuine sustainability commitment demonstrated by our General Manager, Luis Fernando Rico Pinzón, by awarding him the status of "CEO of a Leading Company in Sustainability."
  • We achieved a score of 94.3/100 points in the Business Transparency index. In each of the four components evaluated (clear rules, openness, dialogue and control) we attained scores in excess of 90 points, meaning our Company enjoys a low-risk position.
  • For the fourth year, the Colombian Stock Exchange awarded us the Issuer Recognition - IR, as one of the country's most outstanding companies in terms of management practices regarding information disclosure and investor relations.

    The Issuer Recognition - IR awarded by the Colombian Stock Exchange (Bolsa de Valores de Colombia S.A.) does not constitute a certification regarding the merits of the securities registered or regarding the solvency of the issuer.

  • For the third consecutive year, after assessing the performance of 10% of the 800 largest emerging-market companies, we have been included on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. This is the world's most demanding indicator for determining a company's degree of adherence to sustainability management. We are among the 20 electricity-sector companies on the DJSI, and only five of them are from Latin America.
  • As with last year, we achieved the maximum rating of 100 points in the measurement of the four components (openness, dialogue, clear rules and control) assessed by the Transparency for Colombia Corporation. Throughout all eight measurements, we have achieved the highest rating among the participating companies.
  • We’ve received recognition from Universidad de Antioquia thanks to our company’s implementation of best practices in issues of management, oversight and transparency.
  • The Transparency and Citizen Participation network chose our Corporate Ethics System as the winner of the competition for Best Practices in Transparency and Legality, which is evident in a preventive and corrective management, with a continuous improvement approach, as Ethics is our core value.
  • The Colombian Society of Engineers chose us as the winners of the 2015 National Engineering Award, for the leadership and management of our Sogamoso Hydroelectric Project, a mega-project that generates social and economic development for Santander and Colombia.
  • For the fifth time, we’ve won the Andesco Award for Corporate Social Responsibility as Best Large Utilities Company, and an honorable mention in the Best Environmental Performance category, honors that were awarded by Andesco out of a group of over 100 companies from all sectors of the national economy.

  • For three years in row, we’ve obtained a credit rating that reflects the highest credit standards, according to global ratings agency Fitch Ratings.

  • For the second year in a row, following the evaluation of 34 emerging market companies and an in-depth and comprehensive analysis of economic, social and environmental performance, we were included on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, which is the world's most demanding indicator for determining coherence in sustainability management.
  • We achieved a score of 100 out of 100 for our corporate governance and ethical self-regulation practices, our dialogue and engagement mechanisms with stakeholders, and the effectiveness of our internal and external control systems, according to Corporación Transparencia por Colombia (NGO Transparency for Colombia). It's the first time in seven years that a company has achieved the maximum score, among 30 utilities companies in Colombia.

  • Centro de Investigación en Comportamiento Organizacional (The Center for Research in Organizational Behavior) recognized us as the second highest-rated company in terms of organizational climate, among 73 Latin American organizations with more than 100 employees.
  • The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce granted ISAGEN the "Outstanding Brand" award. Due to a legal proceeding started to protect this material asset of the Company, an investigation was carried out, the results of which said that the ISAGEN brand is recognized and "extremely well positioned".
  • The Chamber of Commerce of Medellín recognized ISAGEN for our commitment to regional development and our participation in the Plan Padrino. In this program, well-known companies assist other companies in their corporate growth and success.
  • According to the Regional Support Centre for Latin America and the Caribbean, we achieved a high level of performance in terms of compliance with Principle 10, Anti-Corruption: "Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery." The Regional Centre is an initiative aimed at strengthening the UN Global Compact in Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • We were selected as one of the 20 companies in Colombia with the greatest commitment to sustainability, following an analysis performed by Sustainalytics, a global leader in sustainability research and analysis.

  • Our corporate headquarters received the U.S. Green Construction Board LEED certification, Gold category, for new construction, upon evaluating the design and construction in terms of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources.
  • For the sixth year, we achieved the First place with a score of 99/100, in the transparency and accountability measurement performed by Corporación Transparencia por Colombia.
  • We were recognized by the Colombian Securities Exchange for our information disclosure and investor relations practices.
  • Our stock began listing on the BVC's new COLIR index, which consists of the stocks of share issuing companies that have Issuer Recognition - IR.
  • We were included in the United Nations Global Compact 100 Index, which recognizes 100 companies that adhere to the Global Compact as a result of their sustainability practices and performance in the capital market.
  • We were invited by the United Nations Global Compact to be part of the pilot project for the implementation of Business for Peace - B4P.
  • We achieved the third place among the companies with the best level of on-line information transparency according to the La Salle University, which recognizes the availability of financial and non-financial information, as well as the design and usability of the website.

The Institute of Internal Auditors has certified ISAGEN’s Internal Auditing Quality. This is one of the highest distinctions that an organization's Internal Auditing can aspire to, and we are the first company in the energy sector to have been certified.

The process evaluated Internal Audit compliance with international standards, as well as its contribution to Risk Management, Control and Corporate Governance.
