In 2011, hydroelectric availability was 91.68%, greater than the predicted 90.45%. This resulted from proper operation and maintenance management. In 2011, completed modernization projects include the supervision and control works of the San Carlos Power Plant, the assembly of unit switches, and the modernization of the vibration monitoring system in the Jaguas Power Plant, Unit 2's voltage regulator in Termocentro Power Plant, the update of the control platform 800XA of the Miel I Power Plant, and the modernization of the bridge cranes at the San Carlos and Jaguas Power Plants. Thermal availability was 81.99% less than the predicted 88.03%. This resulted from damage to the Unit 1 stator. This damage was repaired before the end of the year.
